Bringing together a superb collection of VIPs, remixes and original material, the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album provides a comprehensive overview of the label’s past, present and future.

Featuring VIPs of beloved classics from Hospital past from label stalwarts such as High Contrast’s “If We Ever” and London Elektricity’s “Song In The Key Of Knife”, high profile remixes from Netsky and Nu:Tone plus new offerings from Logistics, Danny Byrd, Camo & Krooked and more, disc one is jam packed with Hospital’s heroes and offers an eclectic insight into Hospital present. New talents S.P.Y, Royalston and Fred V & Grafix also get a look in, bringing us the cutting edge sounds of Hospital future.

On disc two, Cyantific’s 30-track “History Of Hospital” mix provides a sweeping panorama of the last decade and a half and charts Hospital’s progression from humble origins to the behemoth the label is now. The mix was debuted as a “Fifteen Years” mix at Hospitality Brixton back in April and now finally sees the light of day as a release. A history lesson into Hospital’s past for those who weren’t there and a trip down memory lane for those who were, Cyantific draws deep into his record box for forgotten gems alongside modern classics and old favourites for a rollercoaster ride into the past.

Fine for home listening, but DJs be warned. This set is a mixed bag in terms of sound quality. Nasty Habits sounds like a vinyl rip (and not a good one). 'Reach out' is also poor quality. It's not just the age of the tunes - I download stuff from zinc and metalheadz and it sounds great (you can get great quality downloads of old jungle tracks when it's done the right way). This is varied - some sound amazing and others aren't good enough to have decent mix with - muddy and unclear. pistachios
